Leif Ove Andsnes: At work

The texts in the book are in both English and Norwegian.

Initiated by photographer Helge Hansen with texts by author Bjørn Sortland, the book is a candid portrait of the pianist Leif Ove Andsnes created over multiple years. Hansen has been on the road and in informal settings with Andsnes, while Sortland, through lengthy conversations, offers an unsentimental portrait of an artist as told through his own words. The photographs tell wordlessly about long journeys, intimate meetings with orchestras and audiences, big concerts and the time in between. The book shows Andsnes in constant motion, where the back of the stage may not always be as glamorous as the front.
